If there was ever a time for God’s salvation, it is now, as the report title notes.
Isaias is expected to create havoc this weekend; hence this report, warning locals to fear what could happen. It’s been a minute since Sally, and while I wasn't here at the time, I hear it was a game-changer for many. With that, I reached out to the National Weather Service for answers, but I haven't heard back yet. As soon as I do, you will know.
Until then, I can share what I have so far, starting with the children, always the most important. Escambia County School District already announced the closure for Friday, October 9, as well as any after-school activities on October 8, on its Facebook page.

With everyone at home, safety comes first, and PensacolaCitizen.org reports tips from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including having an emergency plan and supply kit.
As for the plan, “Write down emergency phone numbers and keep them on the refrigerator or near every phone in your house, according to the CDC, and you should put the numbers in your cell phone.
For the kit, the most important item is your medication. Make sure that all life-saving medicine is close and accessible, along with personal items like contact lenses, an asthma inhaler, a diabetic blood sugar monitor, and an emergency food supply for low blood sugar. A first aid supply should include waterproof bandages, antibiotic cream, scissors, a thermometer, and non-latex gloves.
Needless to say, infants and pets need extra care, and the CDC offers links with suggestions for both. The infant checklist includes tips for pregnant women, and the pet supplies checklist tells owners what they need for their furry loved ones in an emergency.
As noted, for now, I can share what I have researched and hope it helps until I return with more.

PensacolaCitizen.org will continue to follow Isaias, God’s Salvation, along the way. We would love to hear from readers over the next few days, with pictures and comments that we'll keep posting as long as Pepper and I have power.
Till tomorrow, sit back, relax, and enjoy the calm before the storm, literally, as seen below in the Escambia County Emergency Management.
PensacolaCitizen.org suggests you follow this link to stay as informed as possible in real time.
